First and most recent...Rem 700 BDL in .243 70s vintage

First: 20 gauge H&R single shot with round ball ( Rifled slugs were not invented yet) Then in 1964 I was able to by a Win 88 in .308
Last: Mod 70 FWT, 30-06 ( my 6.5 Swede's scope went bad)

First deer was with a Mossberg 800A in .308 Winchester in 1964
Last was with a Browning X-Bolt Hunter in 6.5x55 Swede last year
Next year hopefully with a 1976 Remington BDL in 25-06 Rem. that I just acquired

First, 1970's Rem700 ADL 25-06 4× Reupold.

Last, Ruger Hawkeye stainless 270win.

First was with a post 64 Winchester Model 94 30-30 with factory irons, given to me by my grandfather in 1990.

Ironically, the last was with the same grandfather’s Browning BAR 270, Bushnell 1-4x24 scope that was present that faithful December day in 1990.

Lots of memories with him, he taught me most everything I know about the outdoors. He would have been proud of the 15” 8 point this year, day after Christmas.

First was a .243 Win Rem M700 ADL Synthetic w/ 3-9x40 Weaver Classic in Weaver Rings. Last is a .30-06 Springfield Ruger M77 MKIII w/ 4x40 Nikon Monarch UCC in Ruger Rings.

My first rifle was a Remington Model 722 in 257 Roberts used to kill my first buck back in 1981. My last buck taken last year was with a well used Winchester Pre 64 Model 70 featherweight 30-06.
