Mark 4hd 2.5-10 ffp TMR reticle Exposed elevation mil turret, capped windage 21oz If it would just hold zero it’s a no brainer. Msrp is 999$ https://www.leupold.com/mark-4hd-2-5-10x24-m5c3-ffp-tmrI’m hoping it’s a typo being a x24..

It ain’t gonna dial/track reliably.. haven’t seen a leupy do that yet.. but if it’ll hold zero…. I can shoot the reticle and duck tape the dials. Lol
Sort of like an acog.

The TMR reticle looks pretty crappy on the website. May be better in person.

I’m hoping it’s a typo being a x24.. Under specs it states 42, so thinking it is a typo.

Almost a dupe for the NF SHV 3x10, but not illuminated.
Time will tell if it's same-ol or not. Hard not to buy NF for that package & price so their gonna have a tough market nut to crack.

If Leupold is trying to restore their image in the community, maybe hiring a competent web page proof-reader would be a good place to start. The objective typo is the kind of stuff I'd expect to see on a Chincom website. .02.

I like that it has 6" of straight tube for scope mounting on a long action. Like others have said, if it will hold zero it may have some merit. Until proven I will just stay with Nightforce.

MM The big difference is that the Leupold is FFP which I don't believe one can acquire in any of the max 10X NF offerings. I get that L is trying to meet a price-point, but, FFP and max 10x magnification seems like Illumination is almost a must unless you're never going to use it under 5/6X. I like L's TMR reticle as I had a few swapped into scopes when their custom shop still did it. I greatly prefer it to a Windplex as the TMR is quite a bit finer. Though I'm referring to SFP TMR, I've never used or looked through an L w/FFP TMR so I could be way off base.

MM Uh, not even close. FFP vs SFP

... Added a bit. If only... I'd love to sing Leupold's praises and if they had the reliability of NF I'd jump on the Big L bandwagon so fast it would upset the applecart of every other maker. If only...

Checks too many boxes for me to not at least give one a try. From what I've seen of the TMR reticle, it's very good for all around big game use. While I use and very much like a few NF's, I'm not really in love with any of their reticles for my uses. If functionality turns out to be equal, I'd go for the Leupold in reference over anything NF currently offers in a similar size and X range. I haven't had the best luck with a few Leulolds dialing reliably through the years, but all a guy can do is give this one a try. Maybe they're working on QI, maybe not, but either way I trust my own results over internet influencers and those who otherwise stand to gain or loose on companies' reputations.

While I havent yet looked at one in this particular scope, in general Leupold does a nice job with the FFP TMR. The measuring portions of the windage crosswire is kept reasonable, as is drop compensation on the lower elevation wire; as such, on low X the heavier lines come close enough to center to give quick aim/bracketing points, making it very useful throughout the X range, even without illumination.

It is illuminated and has a reticle leveling feature.
Interesting scope, and looking forward to seeing an unbiased review. I like my SHV 2-10, as well my Vx5 2-10. I am not a huge dialer or long range hunter. Nice to see a SFP and FFP option, as FFP is not my personal preference.

The model linked to by the OP is not illuminated; however, according to their website the same scope is available with illumination.
