There is that. Like Jimmy Johnson said when someone berated Romo after he left, "He carried the Cowboys on his back for 5 years." One year when there the Cowboys had a decent running back and good offensive and defensive line. That's when the infamous bad call reversed a Michael Ervin and contributed to D not progressing in the playoffs. The NFL admitted later it was a completed reception and blown call after the on field review.
