Anyone else having an issue with Savage customer service? I am experiencing an issue with my grandson's rifle. It's not mission critical but should be a warranty issue. I'd like the issue resolved before fall of 2024 so I thought I'd start now.
I have attempted to email them four times (as suggested), phoned 5 times (most recently 3 days in a row at 0800 when they supposedly open) and even resorted to a detailed 1st class letter.
I have received no responses to the email or snail mail. The phone message immediately says "due to a high call volume, we suggest you call back at a later time".
Anyone have a topic secret direct phone number or employee email address?
Sort of sucks. Thanks.

That really sucks Dave. I hope there's a reason for it rather than it being purposeful non-responsiveness.

I emailed them a question about my Savage model 110. I never got a reply. That was 2 years ago. So maybe I will hear back today...

Shot Show in Vegas is going on now. They probably won’t answer anything until later in the week or next week.

I know a lot of people eschew Facebook, but it can be a great way to get in touch with businesses. Savage's Facebook page has been active since SHOT began.

I haven't called Savage since Effie Sullivan retired, but she was spot on with her work. I told her my issue and she shipped the part at no charge, even though I was converting to another caliber. I needed a short action trigger guard for an Axis that came from the factory in long action form. The phone number for service always worked for me with short wait times. I still think their service reps will take care of you.

For all that are saying that it is Shot Show....what they only have 5 employees and they are all at Shot? LOL Savage CS has always been crap.
For [bleep] and giggles, try calling Ruger....10-1 they answer.

If they respond, and if they want to help, be prepared to make a trip to your FFL for the extractor. Needed a part for a rascal bolt and they would not ship to me. Said it was their policy to send all bolt parts to FFL

extractor issue I forgot shot show - apparently I didn't get my ticket? I'll give them a week Extractors, ball bearings and extractor springs are on the Midway site. I once got a steal on a 110 because the extractor was missing. Ordered the parts from Midway and put them together. Immediately saw the issue- headspace excessive. I adjusted the headspace and sold the rifle for a nice profit.

As Paul mentioned, I've had great luck putting a post on Facebook and making sure to "tag" whatever manufacturer. Seems to always get a response on a huge public forum
"Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, used up, worn out, bottle of Jim Beam in one hand and a .45 in the other, loudly proclaiming WOW-- What a Ride!"
