Ok, I know, here we go again about posting pictures. crazy Call me ignorant if you want but I can't figure it out! I created an image gallery down in the basement with a couple of pictures in it. No problems doing that. Now, how do I get a picture from the gallery into a post? blush

I might add, I don't have a computer. I'm trying to do this on my tablet.

Cliff notes:

Try clicking on one of the pictures in your gallery, then copy the URL.

To post it, use the "insert image link" icon to paste the link.

It’s simpler to use post image or at least no more difficult.

The link you want is this:

https://www.24hourcampfire.com/ubbthreads/gallery/80/full/249896.jpg

You need to paste it using the "insert image link" icon, or simply prefix and suffix the link manually with [img]

Are you using the "use full editor" button when you post? It brings up the option for the "insert image link" button.

It won't work using the "quick reply" button.

Yes, I'm using full editor. How did you get the link you posted? When I click on my photo I don't see that.

Go to postimages site. Click “upload”, not “upload url”.

Ok, I figured it out. When I paste the photo link I need to remove the "https://" that is already on the line, then paste the link. Phew, frigging workout! Thanks for the help guys.

https://postimages.org/

Upload your pic there from your computer.

After it uploads, choose “hot link for forum”

Paste that hot link over here. It’s about 20 second process assuming you have reasonable internet speed.

A tutorial I’ve used for multiple others with great success.

Skip the image gallery stuff. This is a whole lot of typing to tell you how to do about 6 clicks and takes 15 seconds total to do. We'll get you there.

1. go to https://postimages.org/

2. in middle of screen is a white with blue outline button called 'choose images'. Click that button.
[Linked Image from i.postimg.cc]

3. on my iphone (so assume your ipad is the same), that pops up a selection for 'photo library' 'take photo' or 'choose files'. Click "photo library"

4. click on the picture you want to use.

5. click 'add' up in the upper right corner

6. Now you wait for a second. Do nothing. In the middle of the screen there will now be a blue dotted line around a status box with the picture showing upload percentage. Wait for this to go to 100%. It might be instantly. It might take 20 or 30 seconds depending on your internet speed. just wait it out. It will disappear when done.

7. After it goes to 100% and then disappears, there will be 9 links at the bottom of the window. Find the 7th one at the bottom that says 'hotlink for forums'. to the right of that you'll see and blue and white paper looking button. tap that button. When you tap it, a momentary bubble will pop up saying 'copied'.

8. Paste that whole string that was just copied into your thread for posting. Its going to look like a lot of jibberish. Don't sweat it. Paste it. submit the post. If you mess something up, most of us can figure out where you went wrong and correct it for you.
