IIRC, Rush fought New York for six years after he had moved the whole operation to Florida. Not defending Calif. in any way, just pointing out that it's a principle of Socialism. California DMV hounded and threatened me for years when I lived in Alaska.

I never thought they would get away with charging athletes from teams out of state, How these crazy rules are not overturned by the SCOTUS in the real question. Everyone knows the state of CA is a blood sucking leech, but how can an athlete who plays for the Texas Rangers, have to pay CA state tax on the games he played in CA, when his employer is the Texas Rangers based in Texas?
CA says that the games played in CA and wages paid on those days, are subject to CA state tax.

California’s Source Revenue taxation rules are pretty complicated especially for couples filing jointly.
