I'm tempted to get out a .22 with a scope and take care if it.

Could this be a cause of action, interfering with someone's enjoyment of their property?

I was sure this was going to be about a drive-by shooting, by "norwegians"

Aces is right, think of it as city-subsidized nocturnal kill-zone.

You could ask them, to put a lower watt bulb in the streetlight.

I would take a nice 357 and shoot at it until it went out or the sun came up…

The joys of city life, eh?

It would seem as though the SSS rule could apply here. You wouldn’t have to worry about S #2, but you’ve already screwed up S #3.

It depends on the state and local governments but some cities have light trespass laws and lighting ordinances.

My girlfriend owns a nice big house in the suburbs of north Atlanta. One evening I went upstairs to read my book, and the room was filled with bright light. They had installed a street light on the telephone pole out front.

What a nuisance.

I would make a formal complaint to whomever was elected in the last election and his team... if it bothered me enough to shoot.

As a minimum, I would demand a shield in your direction.

Claim PTSD (or whatever)... Go all Karen and chit as needed.

The light was installed so when “they” come to get you, they’ll have good lighting for it. Better have your attorney on speed dial……

I go in the opposite direction

I pay $7 a month to have a street light out here in the burbs. Connecting neighbors appreciated it at the time, all of us had small kids when I got it.

We pay a small monthly fee also to have one in our front circle drive.

At the least it would seem to make surveillance somewhat simpler.

If it's out streetside - doesn't that simply light THEM up as targets for the guy in the house, sitting there in the dark?

A town near me has been putting them in. They cast a weird purple/ black light hue on all the yards. They suck.

It wasn’t random and light poles ain’t what they used to be. Think cameras and directional microphones….

You’ve attracted their attention.
