Liked em when they came out. At a loss as to why Toyota stopped making them.

That said - I don't believe it's materially better than a 4Runner - which might be why Toyota stopped? Dunno.

Dig the color and condition.

(When I bought my Taco TRD - I found the TRD ball shifter off a 13? FJ fits the Taco. Took the big padded leather deal off, screwed on the FJ shift knob. Techs at dealership love it and always ask where I got a TRD knob for it. It's like a pool ball, matches the color and has the shift pattern etched in it)

They just never were a big seller.

They only made 222,029 in the 8 years of production in the US from 2007 through 2014, with half being in the first year.

For comparison, GM and Ford made over 750,000 each of half tons in 2014 alone.

Is it a Toyota cult or FJ cult? If the former, glad to have you. All are welcome...

Maybe when they can make something that will last. They've got the technology, manpower and equipment. It's obvious they just don't want to do it.

Thanks Mike, I sold my "never gonna sell truck", with the idea I would replace it with a FJ.

Driving with the blind spot cult. Had one, ok rig, nothing like my 77 FJ. Would never buy another, not enough room.

Regular cab pickups are becoming unicorns. I know for the Tacomas 2014 was the last year. I’ve always preferred them, they just look like a truck to me.

Will Munny: It's a hell of a thing, killing a man. Take away all he's got and all he's ever gonna have.

The Schofield Kid: Yeah, well, I guess they had it coming.

Will Munny: We all got it coming, kid.
