Bubba, my good friend,

I miss him too. A lot.

In the quiet times, I think a lot about George. And I must admit to misty eyes a time or three over the old cuss. grin

We were so fortunate to have known and loved George.

Your friend Steve

Morseth's from A. G. Russell for actually carried and used.

A fair number of Victorinox stashed around and odds and ends of singles from several different makers.

There's a lot of remorse in putting a patina on a fresh from the maker knife so I'd go stainless or nearly so if I had it to do over for many but not all purposes.

When I started the super steels weren't around - I have one full custom 1095 blade that is entirely satisfactory and an issue Ontario that is just fine. Time was good stainless was mostly 440C and often not well handled.

I do trust the Morseth to be as advertised a good combination of edgeholding and rugged if inclined to delaminate when abused.
