Just anounced that the Federal Courts has steped in and post-poned California's Oct 7th Recall Election. Reason being the Democrats and Illegal Alliens can't prperly operate the out dated punch card ballets in two county's.

Wonder what will happen in the Mar 4th Primary's, when it's found out that the Democrats can't operate the touch-screens of the new machines either!

Tracks nailed it. Does anyone (outside of the far leftwing libs & the 9th itself) actually take anything that the 9th Circuit Court does seriously? It would be laughable if it wasn't so pathetic...

It's just a last ditch effort by the Dems to f--k things up. The 9th circuit court is in bed with Democratic Party. There pulling the same s--t they did in Florida, and will turn around and try to blame the GOP for the cost of this fiasco. Anyone thats too stupid to find the polling place, or to properly punch or mark the ballot, shouldn't be voting. Where I live, San Bernardino County. They couldn't get the new machines up in time, due to the Dems contesting the purchasing plan aproved. So they purchased 4 optical reading machines specifically for this election. Had ballots printed up, with 2 arrows spaced about 3/16" apart alongside each name. To mark the ballot you put a dark line with pencil or pen connecting the two arrows along side the name of the person you want to vote for. What could be easier, except for maybe checking the back side of a ballot for a Hanging Chad.

Funny this happened while Clinton was in town. Wonder if maybe one of the Judges got him down on his knees. Political favors you know!

An expert commission of election and computer experts was formed by our current Secretary of State, Kevin Shelley (A Dem. and Davis cohort) to plan the replacement of outdated voting methods. The Chairperson of this commission in a radio interview today said that their recommendation was to continue to use current methods until better computer systems were available since they deemed currently available systems inferior to the old methods on multiple counts.

Secretary Shelly rejected the commission's reccommendations and disbanded them.

If it ain't bad enough, having a Clinton here! Guess we have Gore to look forward to also. Sometime in the next couple of days. Democrats are pulling out all the stops, and bringing in all the (Jerks) Politicians.

What did anyone expect?
Pregerson is a Carter appointee, remember THAT cherry of a President? And the other two are, you guessed it, Klinton appointees.
Well, if this ruling makes California (south of highway 50) slide off into the ocean, it will have been worth it.

I love it. The same polling machines that were used to elect Davis (and scads of other officeholders) now deprive voters of their equal protection rights because they are supposedly more prone to error than other systems.

So, let' see. We're going to delay the election and rush a whole new system in ( at a cost of HOW much?), and the little old ladies that run the voting booths, God bless their souls, will be trained in time, yeppers, and voters won't have a learning curve, and THEN we'll have the election, and it will likely have less voter error than the system we've been using successfully for eons. Yep, makes sense.

Oh, and if the election happens to coincide with the democratic primary ... well, that's just a coincidence.

The most disturbing thing to me is the lack of intellectual honesty. Everybody KNOWS it's a political and partisan move, but the Dems are lining up to spout the party line about equal protection blah blah blah. They look you in the eye, right at the camera, they spout their line of blatant untruths, and the people of this State somehow accept it.

The kicker is that the California Constitution mandates that the recall election be held within 80 days of it being certified, which means the 9th Circuit's decision is in direct contradiction to the California Constitution. While it is a federal court to be sure, now we're RE-WRITING the California Constitution for the benefit of the Democratic party? This over a voting system that has served us predictably well (did you hear any complaints about equal protection violations when Davis was elected? Or Feinstein? Or Boxer?) over a protracted period.

In Texas, the Dems LEAVE THE STATE when they know they are going to get outvoted on re-districting.

In New Jersey, the BRING IN A NEW CANDIDATE at the 11th hour because their horse (Toricelli) is losing.

In the Senate, they REFUSE TO HEAR the confirmation hearing of Bush judicial appointees for two years, until the poor guy finally caves.

When they try to recall governors (Deukmejian, Reagan) and can't pull it off, they certainly are not trying to overturn elections they can't win. But when a largely bi-partisan public (40% of dems are for the recall) validates one for a particularly inept bungler, it's a "right-wing extremist movement to steal elections they can't win."

It's going to get worse before it gets better around here. The foxes are definitely watching the chicken coop.

This is the same thing that the FL Supreme court did. Ignore the law and do whatever you want. Makes the court system look pretty crooked. I find it distressing.
