I have heard that their higher end rifle scopes are made by Meopta. Don't know about the cheapies. Was also wondering if anyone knew who made their better spotting scopes?

Democracy is not freedom. Democracy is two wolves and a lamb voting on what to eat for lunch. Freedom comes from the recognition of certain rights which may not be taken, not even by a 99% vote.

I was told by a Cabela's rep that Pentax made my Alaskan Guide 4.5-14x44.

The cheep ones are junk and the higher end ones are priced to the point you can buy a name brand for the same money. If I were spending 300+ I would buy a Leupold or Nikon.......
