Guys I am from Alaska and I think Sarah is a fine governor but her lack of experience scares the hell out of me! She will be one breath from the oval office and the way McCain looks he will not last 4 years if he is elected. Sarahs lack of experience is the most frightening thing I can think of right now. The idea that McCain thinks her PTA experience is valuable is shocking. She has no international experience, no economic experience (just like McCain) and the idea that you can go from a mayor of a loosely organized city of less than 7,000 people to the presidency of the USA is of great concern.
I am not a big McCain fan but this is scary! What was he thinking?

Nothing to worry about , except for those who were re-elected , nobody has ever had the experience to be the POTUS until they were POTUS.

Obama has run a campaign and we're not even sure how much of that he has run. Right now PTA, Mayor or Governor would be a coup on his resume.
Not to mention Obama is running for POTUS. Palin is running for VP no matter how long you think McCain lives.

I was voting for "none of the above" before Sarah. Now I'll vote for McCain.

Political experience is overrated... the JO's from the past eight years are proof enough.
I'm more impressed by a nimble mind that knows how to ask the right questions and an ego under check that allows strong and differing opinions to be voiced inside the cabinet.

Guys I am from Alaska and I think Sarah is a fine governor but her lack of experience scares the hell out of me! And her experience trumps Obumbles to such a degree it's sad, yet you have no problem putting the Obamination(R) into office? She will be one breath from the oval office and the way [quote]McCain looks he will not last 4 years if he is elected. See above.... Sarahs lack of experience is the most frightening thing I can think of right now. Again, see above.... The idea that McCain thinks her PTA experience is valuable is shocking. Experience as a governor trumps that as a senator. Clinton was merely a governor, with comparable experience. As was W. As was George Bush I. As was Reagan. As was Carter. As was LBJ..... She has no international experience, no economic experience (just like McCain) and the idea that you can go from a mayor of a loosely organized city of less than 7,000 people to the presidency of the USA is of great concern. Again, see above. I am not a big McCain fan but this is scary! What was he thinking?

Walt Walt, you have, through earlier posts, shown yourself to be a socialist at worst and a blinded demoncrap at best (not a helluva lot of difference). Fortunately, Alaska's electoral college votes already belong to McCain, and your sniveling in the Arctic Circle won't accomplish much more than giving you a frozen booger. Thankfully, those of us in the lower 48 that will decide this election, are largely beginning to think better and far more lucidly than you, and we'll make the right choice..... sending the non-native-born, socialist, muslim back to Chicago.

She is the chosen one. Her lack of experience is totally different from Obama's. Pretty funny choice since McCain has been hammering Obama on the experience issue I guess it doesn't after after all Sorry but Palin isn't Teddy and being governor of Alaska is not the same as being governor of New York. By the time Teddy was elected governor, he'd already been secretary of the Navy and led men into battle. Palin was a beauty queen runner up ad mayor of a town of less than 9000 I like her second amendment position but comparing her to Teddy (a progressive and populist BTW) is a big stretch.

What is all the hangup on "experience" Views on issues is all that is important. Hell if you want a diplomat hire a Frenchman. They excel at diplomacy, as far as getting into and losing wars. We all know Obamas views on the important issues and, speaking for myself, his are not anywhere near what I want in a President. Palins are closer to mine than those of McCAin.

This is stupid. Obama is running for president. Palin for VP.
LBJ didn't even have a VP for 2-3 years after Kennedy was killed. Pretty sure Truman didn't either after FDR kicked.
If elected Obama starts governing in 5 months. Palin perhaps never.

..and Obama doesn't scare you, why aren't you shaking at the knees at his inexperience? Maybe you think that you can read my mind but I don't think I said anything about Obama? Now you scare me. the number two on the GOP ticket has more experience that counts than the number one on their ticket.....and your point is? do you think many vice presidents had prior experience being.....oh, president? I mean....if McC had picked somebody with long Washington tenure, you'd be hearing the same liberals bellyaching about "just another Washington insider". And Palin has exactly the same level of foreign policy experience....as a VP nominee, remember.....as presidents Carter, Reagan, and Clinton had when they were elected president. Presidents choose from options presented to them by professional staff, on civilian and military issues alike. A president with the right backbone and instincts, and the intelligence to analyze the possible options' costs and benefits, will do the right things at the right times.
