Hey all:

I really enjoy this forum. I've learned so much about my 99, but am mostly a deer hunter. Just own 1 99, a .300 made in 1941. Still enjoy all the comments and the commaradarie that everyone displays. Thanks.

I'm here! I'm here!!!

Not here as often as I like -- but I'm not dead -- yet wink

The main thing I'm interested in is finding more free time! Hard to come by these days. I've been doing some reloading over the holidays -- otherwise it's work and kids.

My son got out over New Year's and got his 1st rabbit!

Hope everyone is doing well --

Chad

Still here, still lurking. Followed Rick and some of the others to 24Hr from the Gun & Knife. Or was it guns.rec?

Now that cooler weather has arrived, I've been making the most of WaMu Bank giving me the opportunity to hunt ducks full time. I would have missed this post, 'cept I had to drive home for more ammo, thaw-out and mend dogs, and make sure the Ex was still feeding the boys. (My sons are lookin' a bit peeked...) No internet at duck camp. Still not tired of livin' on duck poppers or duck s'ghetti. Doc says the feeling in my toes and fingers will return some day, if they don't turn black and fall off.

I follow threads on the M1920, other 1920's vintage Savage guns, and whatever seems interesting. The only thing worse than reading a post full of BS, is reading a BS post originating from my keyboard, so I try to contribute appropriately.

I'm still around just haven't been too active with 99's anymore, had eye surgery a few years ago and can no longer shoot iron or peep sights. I've had to put scopes on my 99's that were D&T'd and am trading away others. I'm getting old enough that it's time to find younger homes for my guns that are just safe queens. There's no one in my family that would apreciate them enough to leave them to a family member.

After the first shot the rest are just noise.

My uncle,RIP gave me my first 99(EG in .300).I had never seen one before and was admiring it at his house one day.He said you like it,you can have it.I'm up to four now with no end in sight, they all get used for hunting.I'm not sure how I found this sight but I've learned a lot from you guys here.Great group of people here, willing to help newbs such as myself.I don't post a lot remembering some advice my dad gave me a long time ago.You can learn a lot more by listening than you will running your mouth off.So I'm still here listening and hopefully learning. Thanks everyone.
