Okay, since I' new around here, I'll ask these two questions:

1) Larry, if you take so much abuse, have so little in common with the rest of the people on this forum, and dislike the general demeanor as much as it appears that you do, then why do you stick around?

2) And, as much fun as it is (sometimes) to dog-pile on someone who does not share your own views, if the rest of ya'll have as much trouble with larry (or any other "troll") as you seem to, take so little insight from what they have to say, and know that even acknowledging them keeps them around, why don't ya'll just ignore them so they'll go away?

Just a couple of questions I had...

"1) Larry, if you take so much abuse, have so little in common with the rest of the people on this forum, and dislike the general demeanor as much as it appears that you do, then why do you stick around?"

There is several answers to your question, but for the most part the reason I like this form is because of its overall message to the hunting community on religion, camping, rifles, politics and so on. It also gives me an area to try and reflect ideas off others about a personal project I'm working on. But moreover, I really think there's some great people here and regardless of what some believe to be behind my underlying motives or agenda, I truly love to share and learn from others.

Hopefully that answered your question

best regards

As to the claim of starting a fairly large business (I got that from another post, since I can't read Larrys)-There is a fairly large outfit called L. Martin, -- But it's Lockheed, not Larry

As per: 2).

The Enquirer,WWF/E and Trolls have much fan appeal. A wreck is bound to happen and it's cheap entertainment.

One just needs to consider the source and accept it for what it is. That being said,I've zero doubt an Original Troll would be a big hit....................

JR. lost that one when he left Waltrip hanging out. I suspect everything is not well at DEI

Much suprised me too. Am thinking(hoping),there was a communications glitch, between JR. and Michael.

Regardless, she was "bump and run",from start to Finish. I dug it..................

I hope so too Stick, but it seems it would be pretty hard not to see that big yellow Napa hood decal in your mirror as he pushes you to the front. Kinda dumb to break away from your only ally

My perceptions might could be miles off,but JR. strikes me as a team player and he and Michael are tight.

That being said,I'd grant that NAPA logo as being pretty hard to miss.....................(grin)

Well as a "feeder" of the troll - I must say this - I have decided to severly cut back the time I am spending here due to only one thing/person.

From now on lawrence won't be getting more from me. I can not take the bs anymore. I know many of you will think I am over reacting but his comments on the military and those who chose to serve instead of being drafted offend me and the job I do. Just like if you don't like what you are watching what is on tv (Mtv comes to mind) you can always turn it off and that is what I am doing.

And to be honest - the campfire just isn't much like home anymore- too much toll and the energy that it takes to fight him off. I will check in from time to time just like you may turn on the tv to see if there is a good re-run of M*A*S*H or cheers but I must say this has really turned into a place I just don't really enjoy- too much wading through the lm bs threads which have no real value to the members here.

I come here to find the things I can't get from any magazine- I am against censorship but there is a point where you remove the cancer- I am just doing that.

LM claimed once that he has posted on over 20 other forums and never received the response he has recieved here IIRC Well he was kicked off another forum- he must have had some reaction!

Gentelmen I bid you good hunting !

Considering, you used my Christian formal first name, I think it's only right to respond. As someone who claims to be enlisted military looking for a pat on the back for your service to our country, may I suggest G Gordon Liddy. now there's a true patriots

Perhaps I'm outta touch,as the much related "Trolledness" escapes my senses. I scroll through, read what I wish and leave the balance go.

Must admit though, that I find it weird,to think this place is run by Trolls(hardly). I guess I could bust out a pint of my favorite blend and bait a shiny hook and rid the waters of some Troll-esque figures.

To be honest though, when I wipe my ass,I flush the works and never give it an afterthought...............(grin)

Really - my last post---

I have never asked for a pat on the back- the only time I refrenced said job was when YOU called me a freerider or when said information had some bearing on the topic at hand.

I don't claim to be enlisted I AM - unlike you sir- I understand the meaning of service to a community - you haven't provided one here - except for the people who make blood pressure meds.

Service isn't about doing something for the accolades - its about doing a job for a greater cause. I didn't join the Navy to get a row full of medals or to have the rest of the country kiss my butt for the rest of my life- I did it because I want to be able to look my son in the eye when he asks about the current world situation. My family has a military history that goes back to the end of the Civil War- some pretty horendous hardships were had by all- but they never complained - I am not complaining about my service - you try raising a family on 60-70 hrs a week and 1400 a month I would bet yoyur post count would be round 5k by now asking us to tell you you are the best we ever saw and that unless we were just like you we are freeriders. I am not complaining- just asking you to look yourself in the mirror and ask just what you have done to make your situation better - here or in the USA? Or when it was the last time you did something for the good of it and not so people you never met over the internet will bow down and kiss your feet?

I'm done!

With all do respect, you have some facts wrong especially the part about making my situation better, I'm not the one complaining. Moreover , I'm not now or ever have asked anyone to "kiss my ass" for my service to our country. Although in my opinion the drafted veterans of Vietnam need not bow down to anyone. If you're applying the war in Iraq will somehow benefit all of us, I strongly disagree. However, those serving there today are only following orders of our commander in chief and innocent people, women and children are being sacrificed in the name of freedom. There is no honor in that only contented

I shouldn't, but what the hell, Larry in one of your posts you state that you and your wife both wear the pants , like at the same time? you got any pictures? I think I would like to see that.

Larry, Larry, Larry, you just don't seem to get the point. I am trying to make you see how people at this forum view you, and how do you reply, with more manly bravado, calling names ([bleep] comes to mind) and referring to me as somewhat less of a man because unlike you, I don't broadcast my name over the internet. When you insist on behaving and responding in the manner you have chosen, can't you see it only adds validity to my prior statements about your psychological state.

You say you have been banished from other boards, so it would seem to me that at some point you would have asked yourself "What is it about me that bothers other people so much that they don't want anything to do with me?". If you haven't asked yourself this question, I suggest to you that it is about time you do.

I'm sorry you seem to feel I was insulting your family, as I only meant to speculate on the reasons why your posts always seemed to have a confrontational tone to them. A good example is-"Considering, you used my Christian formal first name, I think it's only right to respond." You see Larry, you have the right to respond to any post on this board, yet you seem to feel the need to justify your responding. I can only speculate as to why you feel the need to justify a response. Clearly, something in your life is amiss that is fueling this need.

I'm sure I will soon be put on the Larry Martin ignore list. It certainly is much easier to ignore reality than it is to deal with it. Just remember Larry, reality is like a 4 lane highway. The centerline is the ultimate reality, but as long as your in one of the four lanes, your not far from reality. Unfortunately Larry, your off four wheeling somewhere in the boonies.

Again, you are the one that opened this discussion making references not only to your fathers Ph.D. of wisdom, but also my wife being the 1 wearing the pants. But to make things even worse you imply now about my "psychological state" as in some kind of expert ass hole.
