I took some more, but am having problems with Photobucket. I will try again this evening to put them up there. Sure you will, Lee. Sure you will. Just as soon as you post the top-secret FN photos.
I have come here to chew bubblegum and kick ass. And I'm all out of bubblegum. I do tend to fit in well wherever I go in person. The campfire is the most outside exposure I get. No TV, no newspaper.

The flash was generating glare off shiny metal, so I turned it off. Some of these came off too dark. I will have to take them out of the cabinet and take some individual photos with proper lighting. Hermann Goering 8x57 Mauser given to Melvin Purvis by Frau Goering Lufwaffe Dagger

More photos later of Goering's sword, another of his rifles. I will start a new thread of some of Melvin Purvis's handguns, John Dillinger's, etc.

Is your "friend" the South Carolina Department of Transportation Law Enforcement Hall Of Fame? (DCDOT LEOHOF) That appears to be where those rifles are.

There is a photo of Patton with the Colt's SAA on the left and the S&W .357 Magnum on the right in "Images of America Smith & Wesson", by Jinks and Krein.
I've seen one photo (from years ago) of Patton carrying a Colt's (1903 or 1908) Pocket Model.

Pugs, These Melvin Purvis items are the property of an individual, whom I will not name at this time. Some are on loan to the South Carolina Military Museum, some to a law enforcement museum, some in his collection. Some that I have not yet posted are in my collection, including an 8x57 Mauser full stock built for Hermann Goering in 1940. Speaking of Patton, here is his saddle, from England.
