Or north, or east.

A guy can find it all the way up here in Bozeman, Montucky.

Yeah, no trick to finding Shiner any more.

Sam,

Have you tried that Beltian White from Harvest Moon?

Buddy gets kegs of it for his garage. Damn that stuff is good.

Been trying those Spanish Peaks beers out of Bozeman as well. Pretty damn good.

Travis, I've tried a few brews from Harvest Moon.
Blue Moon, Belgian White and one or two others. Something about them just doesn't jive with my tastes.

Beer is a HIGHLY subjective matter.........(grin)

Current faves: Bell's Two-Hearted Ale and their Kalamzoo stout.

Always welcome in my house: Rogue's Dead Guy Ale and Dogfish Head's 60-minute IPA. (And the 90-minute IPA when it's on sale.)

If you like Stone Arrogant Bastard then I doubt Shiner Bock will do much for you. Very ordinary in comparison.

Yup.

Iron Eagle, you might try something I started doing last year. There's a high-end wine shop in my town that has a high-end walk-in cold room for beer. Their wine guys know their beer, too, and when I first walked in I told them I liked Rogue's Dead Guy and Dogfish Head's IPAs and then I asked them for recommendations.

They steered me to some great finds.

Yeungling and Saranacs are good, so is Pilsner Urqell and Stella Artois. Most anything that can be drunk when warm and has some taste. That lets out most of the big breweries here. Best beer ever was Klumbacher.

Dogfish Head 60 Minute is a great all-rounder for a person who likes hoppy beer. I love the stuff, nicely bitter without being overbearing. It's great for introducing noobs to flavorful hoppy beer without being intimidating.

beer is HIGHLY subjective......for instance i aint big on hops.....i really like sour tastes in drinks but for some reason dont tolerate bitter very well...

my favorites:

Alaskan Amber is prolly tops after that depending on mood prolly Blue Moons Belgian White or Killians Irish Red......i tend to drink Coors Light at the bar and given the buddy i always hang out with likes Miller Light i wind up drinking that quite a bit cause its whats in his fridge......
