I drink real beer, not that candyass mass market stuff that must be served ice cold so the palate can avoid recognizing whatever little flavor is in the stuff. I've been to England, Scotland, Germany and Austria a number of times primarily to relax and drink beer. grin

Ah yes, that explains it, you know what my test of a good beer is. leave that bad boy out over night, open, if it tastes good the next morning......warm, then it is a good beer.

Yeah but,

NOTHING beats a 12 pack of ice cold Bud Light on a hot summer day out trolling on a boat.

I've been places that had decent beers, but prided themselves on how cold it came from the tap. 36 friggen degrees ain't right for a Fullers ESB!!! I got some funny looks when I asked for a warm glass straight from the dishwasher, but I got what I wanted.

i agree with you mathman, i think that some beers are better warm, and should be drunk that way. my dad doesnt feel that way, but i know decent beer when i try it. most beers that are worth their salt are pretty good warm.

The thing about "warm" beer in Europe is that it isn't warm. It's just warmer than what we're used to, something like cool cellar rather than refrigerator temperature.

What the warm glass for my ESB did was knock off the excessive chill, but the overall result was still pleasantly cool.

I've only had the Czech Urqull(sp?).

Seemed decent enough for my crude palate.
