Swaro slc new 7x42
I was watching deer in a peanut field in the dark 2 nites ago. I could not see the deer in anyway with my eyes. They were aboput 100-125 yartds away. I don't eeven think the zEiss scope could have taken the shot at that point

Jim is a friend, and it was in good fun, but anyting I post lately I'm getting called a troll- I posted on the Classifieds asking about approx value of some scopes I'm thinking of selling, and got called a troll for THAT... just silliness.. So I was just a little "thensitive" at the time he posted that. But agreed, Jim is a good people and it was in good fun, and didn't deserve the response I typed. I PM'd the gentleman to apologize and explain.

Well my finest optics.....Ummmmmmmm!
Now that would be a USA Leuopold a dozen times over and two spares. Along with a couple of Bushnell mil-dots with turrets on varmint guns. I drive a 2007 Lincoln and 2006 Ford 350 truck, also USA made, yep I am a country boy at heart.
I figure if the rest of this great country of ours did the same, we would not be in the shape we are now perhaps. Oh please lets not hear about how much better Leica or Swarovski's are, as I have never failed to get my game down because I could not see through my bino's. I never could justify the triple the cost of bino's that only did a 10% improvement on viewing if that ok. Who gives a rats behind in what color the critters eyes might be? I sure never.

The optics in my LRF 1200 are actually useful... as an optic!
The Leica bino's I've looked through have been stunning. Similar to Swaro's in terms of mind-boggling resolution.
Tonk, sad to say, Leupold scopes are chock-full of Asian parts. Some say Chinese. And unless I'm mistaken, Ford trucks are made in Mexico.

My best is a Bushnell 3200 Elite 3-9X40. I keep looking for something I like better, but I can't find anything.

I think Leupold use parts sourced from the Phillipines, China or possibly Taiwan.
Ford trucks are made in Canada.
Dodge are made in Mexico!

I've been perfectly pleased with Leupold, Nikon, Burris, Pentax, Bausch & Lomb and the upper end Bushnells and that's mostly what I use but I guess my "finest" are a Swarovski 4x on a .411 KDF, a Kahles 2-7 on a Weatherby .338/06, a German Zeiss 4x on a Browning BLR .358 and a Zeiss Conquest 3-9x40 on a Mauser 99 9.3x64. I detest "big" scopes of any brand.

You can pay all the money in the world ,to "buy" a name, just to say you own one..but hands down for price,clarity,warranty,durability-Leupold wins hands down everytime!! 32 years of use, never a failure. Favorite: 4.5x14x 50 LR Matte finish. What other scope do you know of that you dont have to be the original owner, and they will fix it or replace it for free??
