Is it worth buying? accuracy? Reliability? Not worth buying. Stevens 200 is far better. The 710 scope is worth about $29.99. BMT

It works fine, but I'd get the Marlin if you're looking for a cheap gun.

It's a Remington with a Bushnell scope, how could you go wrong?
Seriously, why? Buy a higher quality used rifle or the Stevens 200.

Fit and finish are what's wrong with rifle, forgive the Tasco/Bushnell error (it was kinda directed to get a rise outta someone). And it's already been phased out by the 770. Curious why you'd be interested in it?
For my $300-$350 new, go Howa/Vanguard, or Stevens 200, which is essentially the same as the Savage. Used, you ought to be able to find a 700 or good sporterized Mauser. For an even better value than a Mauser, Enfield 1917s are great too. But a little heavy and not exactly a good looking.
