If any of you ever have this misfortune of having to spend a day with this Californian, you will get the same exact person you get here on this forum,
I'd guess that only having one personality would get to be a bore. I never know who is gonna be home when I wake up in the morning. I think it's a result of having lived in such wildly divergent surroundings during the course my life. I can appreciate both a fine, full bodied Merlot with an expertly prepared piece of prime rib,... or a well executed tattoo.

That's more like it! I ain't saying nuttin' bad about anybody, don't know any of the fussing parties personally, I just hate to see a couple of guys rolling around the schoolyard with their "friends" circling them yelling fight fight fight. It was fun when we were 15, but now it gets to be too serious. It's not serious until somebody buys a plane ticket.

I got introduced to a very personable gentleman � shooter � from England several years ago, and we spent a couple of days together shooting prairie dogs. He was over here for the first time and of course had never even seen a prairie dog before. He seemed to be in Hawg Heaven and didn't try to hide his exuberance. The vast expanse of eastern Montana was a delight to him, too.
Super-nice chap!
For some (or no) reason, I kept calling him "Fred." His name was Paul, IIRC.
Very embarrassing. For me, that is.
"Good enough" isn't.

Very embarrassing. For me, that is Did this very thing to a really nice guy, when we were varmint shooting last spring. I had just met him that day. Never have I called a man by the wrong name so many times. I am still embarrassed about it.

It was fun when we were 15, but now it gets to be too serious. "Serious".......how can a bunch of pixels arranged a certain way on your computer monitor be "serious"?? This is the internet man.......where even if it's only for a brief moment, cowards can be heros, puzzies can be tough guys, the old can become young etc., etc.,....... Pissing and moaning about what you read here is like watching a cartoon and complaining about how badly Bugs Bunny is getting treated by Elmer Fudd. Good grief! It sure must be tough going through life wanting to fight other people's battles for them even when they are being fought by anonymous characters on an internet forum!! I say fight on gladiators........fight on!

Just give fervent thanks that she isn't an ancient Amazon warrior woman of Greek mythology. As I remember the myth, they used to cut a breast off to keep it from interfering with their archery.

Isn't that how "gentlemen" settled their differences way back in the day? Christians are told to "Judge not lest ye be judged as well" Maybe somebody skipped that page in their Bible? It's funny to me how people who claim to be Christians can be so nasty and cruel. My mother in law was one of those. She won't need a sweater  where she is now. Word of advice "Never argue with a fool, bystanders will have great difficulty discerning which one of you is the fool." And I can't remember where that came from. whelennut

Watching Saturday morning cartoons with our kids, I used to say � as "seriously" as I could � about a particularly extreme departure from reality � "I don't believe that really happened." The response was always a very exasperated "Aw, Daddy, it's a cartoon." (Only young kids can get that exasperated, only with Daddy.)
