Yep, craigslist! I just bought a 1985 Chevy Suburban 4x4, no dents or rust, good paint, engine runs good, new tires, but bad auto trans for $600.

Bought my project off Craigslist this summer.
If you can travel a bit, possibilities are endless on that thing.

When I bought the dodge for a donar rig, the guy gave us directions to his house (shanty in the middle of crackville)
He didnt tell us that he just needed a ride across town,to where the truck was at until he was allready in the truck. Took us several days to get the smell of that guy out of the truck.

I have a 1978 3/4 ton Chevy that used to be a pulling truck! It is sitting with a 400 small block engine, has 4 x 4 and custom steel bumpers on the truck. Engine runs with new radiatior in truck. Edelbrock highrise manifold and Carb!
PRICE is $1,200 dollars American Money!!! Send me a PM if your interested. I use the truck for wood hauling in the woods.

Ranger isnt goona be getting very good gas mileage if it has the 4.0. It makes power but I might as well be driving a full size truck, as they roughly get the same mpg.
had a ranger and a Bronco II one with the 2.8 and one with the 2.9. Got fairly decent MPG. Sure felt that the 2.8 had a little more bottom end, didnt keep either one long enough to really work them though.

Man, I can't remember what I got, but I had a Ranger 4x with the 2.9 and I want to say it was around 20mpg.

Thats roughly what I was getting. In My current ranger with the 4.0 I'm getting an average of 16mpg. Has 4.10's and 33's though......
