Saratoga/Jack Creek, Will work for me just fine!
I don't know what I'll bring ( a small camper, wall tent).
Let me know about food, what to bring or who to send funds
to. The dates sound good for me as I should be in the Walden
area about that time.

Gee guys at that time of the year I want summer. WTF is that cold weather chit!!!!! frown

Think I'll stay in Montana if I have to put up with that chit. It'll at least be 100 degrees and I'll have my central air conditioning going. smile

Aw come on! You'll miss a great time and some great people! The elevation is 8500 ft you won't need central air! Beautiful country!

It's WYOMING!! "Ya gotta be tough out here in the West, Pilgrim!" ( John Wayne) grin

Seriously, at that altitude, you can get a blizzard on the 4th of July. Be prepared for anything, I never go ANYWHERE in Wyoming at ANY time of the year without my cold weather survival kit in the back of the rig, it has paid off for me a couple of times over the years.

Derby -- You could be in charge of the fire in the fireplace at the cabin! It can be a hundred there if you like. laugh

Sooo! What about us Kanuckistanians? Are we invited or what?
It's only a twenty four hour drive from my place!
And if things work out, I may be able to fit a BPCRS shoot or two, as well!
AAANNDD, almost better, I may be on my way to one of the 'smithing schools wink

What do I need to bring, if you all allow me to partake in this wonderful adventure?

Jack Creek Campgrounds pads are too short for my RV, and I dont know what the Medicine Bows current position is on dispersed camping, so what is the name of the next closes campground? CP.

The campground there at the cabin says maximum overall combined length, truck and cammper, is only 22' eek , my truck is longer than that! The campground at Ryan Park looks fairly close and will take RV's, might have to stay there, I will contact Forest Service when I get back to Wyoming and try to figure something out.

No more than 28 days in one spot, but we will check on it. There are campgrounds in Saratoga.

Keep the questions coming. We will get the answers.

The 22' length should not be a problem, Post all your Question and I'll do my best to get them answered this week.

Hold off on the money issue until we get things lined out.

I am looking at a plan B incase of a late snow or a realy bad winter.

Jnyork, thanks in advance for the follow up. I know there is a nice RV park in town and that may be the best alternative for me.

Elkhunter76, some of the Forests are getting real pissy about where a guy can park his RV. I dont know about the Bow, but at 8500 I would not be the least bit surprised that they have some Dispersed Camping regulations around where you can poke your RV. CP.

CP,

We will check on it, don't want anyone getting in trouble. We will get the details worked out and an alternate site in case of weather/seasonal related issues.

Thanks man

I believe having an alternative spot, to adjust for unforeseen weather issues, is prudent. At any time of the year, Sara can throw some damn nasty weather at you. CP.

OK, here is a link I found for the Ryan's Park campground, they have spaces for RV's up to 32', including some pullthroughs. I still cannot for the life of me establish for sure where this campground is located in relation to the cabin site where we are proposing to meet. http://www.publiclands.org/explore/site.php?id=1494
