A sweet carrying 71 in .348 ain't a bad thing. Guess it comes down to if you want to carry a lever or a bolt because all will do a fine job. The Chosin Few November to December 1950, Korea. I'm not one of the Chosin Few but no more remarkable group of Americans ever existed.

Any of the cartridges will work with handloads. Anybody who seriously concerns themselves with the adequacy of a Big 7mm for anything we hunt here short of brown bear, is a dufus. It'll run about 100 fps behind a Whelen and, well, we all know how much 100 fps matters.... But if a guy is into running a "big" rifle they might as well go Whelen. The CENTER will hold.
