I'll be there alone, my youngests birthday is that weekend, and Momma already had a party with all her little friends set up. I have to get here a nice present as I am going to be in Saratoga for her 4th birthday.  MAN, you live dangerously!!!!  If I had a four year old and wasn't there for her birthday my very Celtic Lady would have my head on a block.  Got to love them redheads although mine is blond now. Dang age and sun thing.

I talked to the gal at the forest service today.
Hwy 130 over the Snowy Range opened Saturday. that is about normal, But it did snow on the con. divide Saturday and the road is still plugged from the forest line in to Jack creek.
The road in to south brush creek is closed to allow it to dry out. unless we get a lot of rain it should be open in a few days.

It looks like Hwy 130 from the Interstate to Saratoga should be open is that right? I'm traveling Route 287 from Helena to Rawlings, jump on the Interstate to the Hwy 130 exit to Saratoga. That looks like the quickest route to me. Jellystone is open so the Feds say.

The part of 130 to which you are referring, between I-80 and Saratoga, is open year round. The part gotlost is talking about is a scenic byway, and it is open as well. If you are going to come all this way, you probably will want to do a side tour of the scenic by-way portion of the road.

The part of 130 that they just punched open, which is the scenic by-way, passes along the face of the mountain seen in the distance. The wife has to go to work and we are also suppose to attend a graduation party Sunday if we get back in time. Thanks for the road report on the Hwy 130 I must travel. BTW: The weather looks real good for the rendezvou. Kilt wearing weather.
