I badly wanted a good set of potential blackmail pictures. grin Charged the camera Wednesday but when I picked it up for the first pic Friday the damn thing was dead. mad
The idea was doomed to failure anyway since everyone was well behaved.
Great bunch of people, I learned a few new outdoor tricks and got an idea for a great future hunt.
Many thanks to all who were there.

There's a recurring theme here. Campfire members are good peeps.

Anyone notice that where there's a party, Pat is sure to follow? grin

Les explaining the finer points of marksmanship to Dan and Fish Head. Actually I think it was how he killed his last spider with a 303 Enfield.

Yeah, Pat was really freaked out. Maybe the wake up call of "We Wish You a Merry Christmas" outside the camper freaked him out, but not the snow.

Too tired to post now but I had to throw out this picture.

I never even heard that, but I have a picture of him in leopard print cloth that some would find humorous and some would find disturbing.

Back home and semi-awake, I wanted to extend a huge thanks to all involved. Cheyenne and his lovely bride in particular..last minute change of plans thrust us all in their laps, but they took great care of us, let us mess up basically everything in sight, and smiled throughout grin
What you keep hearing on these types of threads is true...we have a really good bunch of people here...It was a pleasure to share a real campfire with every one of them...

Thanks to Cheyenne and Barb again...for everything...
Thanks to Pat for making the trip up from Texas..
Thanks to Keith and gotlost for the logistics and the cooking.
Thanks to Dan Adair for making a long trip seem short.
Thanks to Tracks for the use of his wall tents..
Thanks to KC for the use of his camper...
And on and on...everybody did everything they could to see to it we all had a fun weekend...it worked! laugh

Good on the lot of you. Seems a great crowd.

From my phone call with Les, while he was at Denver airport, the compliments he paid to all the guys and gals in camp seems demonstrative of each and every time 24 Hour folks have these get-togethers.

Cheyenne...your piece of property seems a real nice escape.

Any trout fishing nearby??

That was a Blast!!!!

Thanks Cheyenne and Barb for being such wonderful hosts.

Thanks Tracks for use of the wall tents

Thanks Keith for the cool kitchen setup

There was a ton of that elk, antelope, and pork, green chili left Keith, I have several big bowls of it froze again and will save you one. I'm sure it is fine, it was snowing on it as soon as the fire was shut off.

I was looking forward to getting some of you guys out on the creeks to look for brookies or gold, we were in a great place to find either, but the hour I spent in pursuit of the trout was enough for me to see that they are hard to find in roaring torrents of muddy flood water, and no way was I gonna grub around in the mud with a sluice box while my teeth were chattering.

Everybody there was great people and it was a pleasure to meet you all in person.

Jacques

I had a blast, all the folks were great, and Cheyenne has a great set-up there in the mountains. Liver's were evil and they were harshly punished, but no one got out of control. Elkhunter76 musta caught a bug as he wasn't feeling up to full snuff on Saturday. Definitely a yearly event!

Back in the heartland, Thank God!
