However...Bucko's..they do work on .22 Lr TARGET rifles!
I use one on a heavy barrel CZ for BR-50 and they do work. I'm using it until I decide on a barrel tuner or not. But,this is a different game than most, ammo is somewhat "uncontrollable",so you tune the barrel....
Would I put one on a hunting rifle...NO

I have one, that came my way by someone who got several for free from the Manufacturer on some sort of "testing" program he claims... he had several...

he gave it to me, since I loaded some ammo for him.. ( his dad is a friend).. instead of offering to pay me..

I put it on the end of a Ruger VT in 223...

didn't notice a bit of difference on the Ruger...good or bad...

since it is a pain to try and get off, I just left it on the Ruger....

I do reload and have been doing it for over 25yrs. No matter what load tried in the flyweight 260 barrel on the model 7, 1.25" was the best it would do. With the rubber donut on the barrel, now sub MOA groups are common with the same loads.

I have shot hundreds of groups from many different rifles that are sub MOA and more than a few dozen 1 hole groups with HUNTING RIFLES shooting HUNTING ammo. So I think I know what I'm doing. I've probably got more reloading supplies and equipment than most people would think of having.

Barrel deresonators have been used for many years in competitions by shooters all over the world. Why anyone would blast someone for using it if they haven't tried it makes no sense.

+1. I have one, though I haven't used it yet. If I ever have a rifle that needs it, I will. Regardless of what other people think, if this device floats your boat, go for it.

Shopping list for this year's hunt.

1. Barrel de-resonator

2. Sling sticks

3. Cough silencer

4. Butt-Out Tool

5. Scent-loc camo clothing

I'm I missing anything?

Anybody got a Cabela's coupon?

I really prefer to shop locally. Does Wal-Mart carry all these things?

I make my own. I take about half a dozen wraps of electical tape around the barrel. Then when I need a piece of tape to put over the muzzle, it's always right there. Replace as needed so you don't lose the de-resonating affect. wink

The only people I've ever seen actually using Limbsaver de-resonators were on a TV show sponsored by Limbsaver.

I just looked it up. I didn't know it was a tool. I thought it was a position.

I've got one...been meaning to try it. I'm curious as to the performance improvement...though it's not necessary since my hunting rifles are 1.25 MOA or less.

Don't have or want a butt out tool, scent lock clothing, etc etc.

Blast away...

If you go afield with the Barrel De- resonator, you gotta have the Butt-Out tool.....its mandatory.

Oh, and don't forget your Bubba- Buddy elastic cartridge holder for the buttstock....
