I'm a Libertarian. Say what you want and if I don't like it, I'll ignore.

On the other hand, there is responsibility that comes with the percieved anonymity that comes from cyberspace that some people just don't grasp. I try to talk to people the way I would if they were before me, although I've been known to get a bit wound up like everybody else.

No moderators needed here. If you can't stand the heat...

There's not one damned reason tht you can't "take a stand" against anything you dislike.
It seems to me you want someone else to take the stand for you.

Says it all right there.

No reason to have two sets of value for real life and internet, IMHO.

Uh oh, that's going to need to be amended from the Campfire Constitution, and I do believe they can get the two thirds needed.

I agree with you, but it is a lost cause, it is what it is, either enjoy what you get from it or move on to a more moderated site, that's all you can do. RickBin runs this baby and is fully aware of the dicey banter, and he has decided to let it be left alone. The other forums on this site seem to adhere to the CF Constitution, still a lot to be gained there.

I spent time at a place where your actions seemed to judged by your zip code. No need to name that place, some will recognize it.

Just so I have this straight...

If someone thinks Steelhead telling someone to Blow Him for asking a question.. then they are stepping on Steelhead's "Freedom of Speech".. making them the bad guy for thinking that is inappropriate...

Making sure I have the guidelines straight...

Guess I'll have to have my son, not read the forums here to learn stuff as it will indirectly impede Steelhead's Freedom of Speech...

Now I have it...thanks for the group clarification...

Yap, some have dedicated there entire 24/7 life to the Campfire, so let them be the moderators, although I think were fine just the way it is.

Im guessing the average age on Campfire is 25+ yrs, which contributes to this site running so well.

I'm pretty certain when we sing our anthem and mention the land of the free, the original intent didn't mean cell phones, food stamps and birth control.

The one thing I have seen here is that slowly over the years the fire has become a less friedly and tolerent place than it once was. In way, it's sad but true.

But........................

It is what is. I still get a lot of enjoyment out of being here and no moderators are needed.
