Not a real member - just an ordinary guy who appreciates being able to hang around and say something once in awhile. The brim doesn't bother with the stock but if you're using BC flip up scope covers the brim will hit the ocular cover if it's flipped straight up.. Fairly annoying on rifles with a little kick to 'em(your hat is gonna get knocked off and it doesn't help with concentration on the next shot) so if the bolt throw will allow I have the covers set so they open to the side.

OP JohnMoses Campfire Ranger Joined: May 2009 Posts: 18,508 Mississippi	That's the reason I've worn one of these for the last 26 years. It has a short brim that I bend slightly upward. Not the prettiest hat, but it never interfered with my bow string, rifle scope or blocked ducks from my view.

I try to remember to change to a ball cap before I meet people or head into a hamburger joint on the way home.
