Barbara found info on Facebook. Looks like it's 4 miles west of Foxpark near Illinois Creek, and they evacuated the Foxborough subdivision of cabins. That's only about 3-4 miles from us. An air tanker and helicopters already are on it. With the wind as crazy as it was last week while hunting, there's no telling what could happen. We're fully insured so cannot worry about the property. My thoughts go out to all the firefighters. They stopped one south of the border a few weeks ago.

Thanks. We posted over each other. The entire summer, Lake Creek looked like the Rainbow Family had bought campers and started living there. I wouldn't be surprised if it originated there. The weekend also had the additional capacity of the ATV army, and the roads were so dusty between Lake Creek and Foxpark it was like the woods already were on fire.

We were thinking of going into Pelton Creek and up Spruce Gultch. Looks like a good call on not going.

On Sunday there was a big fire on the place I hunted last year. 11,000 acres or more burned. Lost a lot of fence and hay, but buildings were spared. A guy was lighting a treater unit in the oil field next to the place and it exploded. No word on the oil field worker.

Looks like smoke in the Fox Park camera. The critter crossing cameras near Keystone aren't showing current pictures yet. I will check as the day progresses.

Tracks was right about worse ways to spend a day. As a matter of fact, there's so many things better to do, I don't think I could stand to do it again until Wednesday. smile

Same time, different spot? wink

It was a great day just dinking around and having some fun shooting and talking with a gentleman, fellow hunter and gun enthusiast.

FYI. All groups shot met the internet new math method of measuring sub MOA standard. Every group shot was 1/2" or better. Only a few called fliers opened things up just a wee bit. Not a single miss all day.

Really. grin

Yeah, how would you like it if you had to put up with six Saturdays every week.
We never get holidays off either.
Getting paid twice a month for doing nothing too. grin

One of the big problems with being retired is remembering what day of the week it is. I thought Tuesday was Monday and I said Wednesday when I meant Thursday.

Finally got it figured out right and tomorrow (Thursday) we're going to go shooting again.
