Then when I was 8 years old, I found out that I had two brothers, one that was born the year after me, and the other three years after me. She kept them, and from my understanding there was never any question about not keeping them. I guess I didn't quite understand why me and not them, and I still don't, and maybe that's the part of me that despises her, the part that doesn't know.
Carol Anne's parents, brothers, and sisters ostrasized and snake-mouthed us for thirty years, then � after she died � tried to make-like all was "still" lovy-dovy with me and our children. (Until I politely told 'em that they had nothing that I wanted to hear about.)
I don't hate 'em, just like I don't hate the miserable winter weather in northern Minnesota while I'm content here in western New Mexico.
