Welcome to the forum.Records indicate gun was made in 1923. If your looking for a value range, detailed pictures are necessary. GW

Could be one of several different models, so since you'll be posting pics we'll just wait.

Smokin', That'a an early 99F but it has been "shopped" with additions and reblueing so it's going to be worth more to you to keep it. I'll bet it's a good shooter.

Thanks for the info. How can you tell it has been reblued? What was the original configuration , and if it was original what would it be worth? thanks

Everything you now do is something you have chosen to do. Some people don't want to believe that. But if you're over age twenty-one, your life is what you're making of it. To change your life, you need to change your priorities.

The lever looks to be reblued. It was originally case hardened.
Original also had a steel buttplate, was not drilled for the scope and did not have a sling. I didn't look at all the pics, but there is a splinter of wood missing off the forearm, too.
These are just some obvious things that are not original. They don't change the fact that you have a perfectly good hunting rifle in a nice looking configuration.
