If I could learn one move, it would be the spin-kick.

OMG. That's rich.
And speaking of making sense, why don't you revisit your "don't do this in Montana" thread and man up to your ignorance? smile

Swing and a miss. Though I've doubt you've ever done or guessed anything correctly in your lifetime. It only chaps your ass that I read sign a LONG time ago on your dumb ass and finally the rest have caught up.

A spin-kick takes too long to execute; that flashy schitt will just get you hurt. If you wanted to learn one move, that has the most power in ALL of the martial arts, it's the side-kick. You really need to set your opponent up for the side-kick, but it develops fast enough to K.O. a bunch of befuddled USPS employees who don't even realize they're having the schitt kicked out of them.

If I am shipping items USPS, it's usually something cheap. I used to use UPS all the time, until the local UPS shipping center changed their policy shipping any gun related items. Good thing is, a new shipping company went in about a year ago, and the owner also just opened up a gun shop next to it. I have been lucky to never have to file a claim with USPS, but had a buddy that did, and it took 4 months to get his money back on an item they broke, it was vlaued at $5,000.

it's not like I've shipped thousands of items/things using any particular carrier ... but I have shipped quite a bit using USPS and/or UPS.

So far, neither has ever lost anything, and only a couple of times has anything arrived late by more than a day or so. Only one time have I had damage done to a package, and that was with UPS when someone shipped me some tires/wheels ... and one of the 4 tires had been drug across the ground and wore down the raised lettering and put a couple of good flat spots on the side wall of that tire. However, UPS reimbursed me the price of the tire within about a month, and the tire was still fine to use w/out having to replace it.

Guess I've just had good luck? In any event, I'll continue to use either for whatever I'm shipping. I just make sure to price out both carriers prior to choosing one, and also choose based on what it is I'm sending and how I feel it will be handled by each.

Call your credit card company and add your home or work as an alternate authorized address. The other option is to ship to the local UPS or FEDEX store or customer center and have them hold it for pickup. I would think this should alleviate the seller fraud concerns since you have to show picture ID to pick it up.

FFL's use USPS Priority all the time. I use it all the time. It's my favored way of shipping smaller items and I've found it very quick and reliable. Yea, it sucks when you have a problem 1% of the time but that's life, isn't it?

I think the moral of this story is: Never purchase from NYCameraland

On a positive note...Bear Basin had the same scope, with free shipping, and was offering 10% off for December. AND they had no problem shipping it to my house.

Not odd at all with USPS. I had a similar experience. Fortunately, the item mysteriously turned up several weeks later -- but USPS personnel were utterly useless in the interim. Their attitude could best be summarized as, "Oh well..."

Yeah, the people at the post office were like "huh." And actually said several times "are you sure it was shipped via postal service" To which I replied "YES, I TRACKED IT TO THE POST OFFICE ON YOUR WEBSITE, USING YOUR TRACKING NUMBERS!"

Karma is a bitch. You "faultless" consumers should give him a break; not everyone can make the correct decision every time like you guys.
