I liked that character in Gangs of New York. As you know, those are notches, each representing a crushed skull. Hated when Daniel Day Lewis' character tossed that hatchet into his back. Good flick. Especially if you were raised Roman Catholic, but probably also if you were raised any stripe of Christian. Not that it's not filled with theological flaws, of course. It is Hollyweird, after all.

I guess that would depend heavily on one's political perspective. If you're for the status quo, I guess that might well be the case. Want a return to limited Constitutional government, then probably not.
