It would have to be really rough to not be worth $120.

Sounds like a good truck or barn gun.

Any thoughts...as I know little about shotguns?! I just know I am right eye dominant, and she'll dance...that way.

Thanks!!

It all depends on condition.. But even if it's a turd, aesthetics-wise, it's cheap as long as it functions ok..

is it an express, an express magnum, a wingmaster? What is it?

I guess even if it's a short chamber express it probably worth 120 just to have around for upland game etc.

THUD!!!

God save ingwe's soul, for the "Big Sky" has fallen on him.. wink

PS. 2.75 will work on wolves too Jane - if you decide to join the SSS outlaws. Somehow, I don't see that happening though.

Brent..I think we also agree on the cow issue to an extent...I'm so accustomed to eating game that the last time my hunting pard took me out and bought me a steak ( from a cow..) I told him " We gotta go shoot some of these!! " laugh

While the 870 isn't exactly the world's standard for a pump shotgun, I'd say it would do OK in a wolf woods when load with 00buck. And for a hunert bucks......sheesh!

Wonder what is if the 870 isn't?

The Mayans had it right. If youre going to predict the future, its best to aim far beyond your life expectancy, lest you wind up red-faced in a bunker overstocked with Spam and ammo.

ingwe, indeed, dead cow is one of my FAVORITE foods.

870s rule. Every single time. Only weenie Chevy & Toy 'guys' would advocate for a Winnie M12 (M97 is marginally acceptable in a pinch) over an 870....

If you feel the gay, get an M12 - everyone else an 870 rocks

I have one 870. Fine gun it is, plain Jane, smooth and always dependable. Kind of reminds me of my 72, 750 Honda cycle.

I also have a Model 12 and a Model 97. Again, nothing fancy on either just good solid shotguns. They kind of remind me of my past Harley Davidson motorcycles.

So, I guess it's just a clash of class. Kind of like Hondas vs Harleys.

I'll take a Rem 31 all day, every day over an 870 for corn shuckers.

Here's mine.

Been jazzed up a little for deer, but I still have the original barrel.

Never had a malfunction in over 50 years........
