Don't shoot anything bigger than pigs and Deer, so I could get by with just about anything.

For many years I owned just two rifles. Both were Rugger M77's one in 220 Swift, the other was a 270 Win. I still have the Swift and it's still one of my best shooters.

The recoil in the Whelen is similar to shootin an 06 with 180`s.
