Bullschit.

LOOK at those auction listings.

Don't confuse plastic stocked SPS and ADLs with BDLs

There are NO walnut stocked BDLs that sell for less than $500 on that site regularly. The ones that get "no bids" have RESERVE prices over $500 them have reserve price(Which is why nobody bid).

Hell, a brand new NIB BDL now costs over $750 wholesale.

Since you find it hard to read facts, I've listed only the WOOD stocked Remington BDLs that have sold or been listed with NO RESERVE at $500 or under from only the FIRST search page.

These include 30-06, 7mag, 300mag, 204Ruger, 270, 6mm, 243, and 308. One of them was even a nice Mountain rifle mis-listed.

WHAT does that have to do with the price of a "C" grade m700 Custom shop rifle?

Maybe you can run a search on Gunbroker for THOSE that have actually sold and do something useful.

Thanks. smile

Jim, I've committed to buying the rifle because so few of them come to market in Canada. If a custom shop 250 Savage, as mentioned earlier, came up for sale north of the border, I'd be on it like "a fat kid on a Smartie!" wink

I would think that since basic BDLs go for around $500, then a "C" grade ought to sell for about twice the price. If in very nice condition, then a little more. The point of the exercise was establishing a solid base line from which to draw conclusions. Of course, any specific gun is worth whatever someone wishes to pay for that specific gun. If you want it (which it sounds like you did), then go for it!
