Good luck getting an answer on that one. I'm guessing the answer is 0 and he'll change the subject.

Does he like anything else besides a 700 in 30-06?

Which admittedly will do a fine job on most anything, but it doesn't mean everything else sucks swampy...

I like a 700 in any caliber, I like an 870 in any gauge.

I have quite a few of both.

That certainly doesn't mean other rifle makes in different calibers aren't just as good, or in some cases better.

I traded a bass fiddle for a Model 700 BDL in .308 and hunted with it for many years. It worked fine, and was highly accurate. Then I started collecting US Military rifles and it dawned on me the .308 offers considerably less than the .30-06 in the same weight and size rifle. I bought a Model 700 in .30-06 and gave the .308 to my son. The .308 is ok but isn't as good as the .30-06.

I keep trying other brands, but I never get one that's accurate and in fact they've been terrible....luck of the draw I guess. To each his own.

A guy has to try hard,to get an elder Sako to not dazzle.

Though I reckon you could screw that up too...............

The Sako was ok. The caliber made no sense.

Too small for deer, to large for varmints.

You're a good guy swampy. The inherent "humor" in your posts is priceless, even if you dont mean it to be.

Swammpy, you've shot about as much game as Isaacs had successful sports bets.

Ask mom to buy you another copy of Guns & Ammo. When you grow up maybe she'll get you a .22.

Speaks volumes that you are quick to weigh down your kid with inferior gear, even if the inferiority exists only inside your head.
