I already did. For $6K I can get you 2 scoped rifles that will outshoot a GB, a steak dinner, all the liquor you can drink, and a female companion that will tell you all the lies you want to hear....

Yep. Know all about it. It don't change the facts on performance, though, now does it? I wouldn't think so. ... Hard to understand why Lawton/action builder's would have $$ issues. Sell your Lawton & get a Bat Machine, much better.

For tactical/F-class, I think the Lawton will be just fine. It has already passed through the hands of 2 very respected smiths. It is new, but not a newer specimen.....

Being a Lawton user, I'm sure you will hear more concerning this lawsuit. Keep us informed, I'll be curious. I'm outta here...12:40am in the S.E.

OK, a 270. That still leaves a lot of questions unanswered. I'm really curious, this isn't a witch-hunt. That's close to a 1/4" group. Of course, I don't know the range. Just a lot of questions; I'm genuinely interested.

I would be interested, but the poster is a POS liar....
Remington and Bushnell; I fired a 700ADL 270 that did about the same with 110 Sierra's and H4831 at 100; they weren't made for 1K either....

It the "new" Marlin XLC in 270 WCF (the real 270), scope is a Bushie Coyote. Action was Brownell Glass beddded and bbl free floated. Ammo was loaded on a Lee Turret press with the cheapest Lee dies, Rem brass ("unprepared" except chamfered) and shot at 100 yards. The only thing I shoot beyond 400 yards is steel and paper and the Marlin would not be my choice. These might: IMHO "hunting" is getting as close as possible, like this ancient Speed goat taken at less than 100. with this: although in fairness to the rifle, you would not want some Confederate sniper lobbing these at you, even at 1000 yards from the Whitworth. As for the Marlin Truck gun having less than Mona Lisa looks ..... like these better ?

Have we ever shot against each other. How many bars on your Expert Badge ? (You did serve I assume).
You're invited to come out and shoot a 600 yard 4 position, 400 round, 30 caliber service rifle metallic sight match OR 1000 round Trap match.
Let's say $1000 on the outcome, okay ?
Sorry you have to bring your own guns and ammo and put up money up front.

I believe Greybull, Gunwerks and now apparently Cooper are catering to people with money enough to drop $60k on a sheep hunt, don't have the time or inclination to shoot, reload, put a rifle together, site a rifle in...normal stuff that 99% of us do.
They want to buy it, load it and hunt with it.
I wonder how many of these guys actually shoot them prior to using them on a hunt?
Seems like the field is geting crowded, which means that there is some money to be made.
How long that lasts remains to be seen????
Tony You would be correct and it all makes me laugh. Because money can buy you the gear, the trip, and all expenses, but it isn't going to buy you the ablity to hunt. Those guys still have to shell out money to buy them the abilty to kill the animal. Which to me is very sad and degrading. But they go home with a nice trophy animal that sits on their wall. They show it off to their buddies and puff their chest at what great hunters they are. In reality they couldn't hunt what most of the guys here on the fire hunt in their respective states. Because truth be known they don't know a damn thing about hunting animals besides what they heard from their guide from their last hunt. I realize that some animals require a guide because of laws, locale, and inablities to prepare for such hunts. There are many very capable hunters that use these services. However the majority of the ones doing so on $60,000 plus hunts are not true hunters that have a clue. They are the same clowns that spend $6K plus on a rifle that most on here realize they can get the same or better for a lot less. In the end when and if I were to book a $60,000 Sheep hunt I wouldn't be packing a rilfe, it would be the bow that made the trip and experiance with me. Handicapping my success rate but upping my experiance ten fold. Should I have success it would be that much sweeter knowing I did it with my bow.

In other words your answer is no ?
Just like your hero NOBODY when faced with a like contest from another member.
Wonderful when what is anticipated is EXACTLY what happens: 1. no expert badge 2. never served 3. wimps out on a money shoot
BTW a member search under "GTC" revealed nothing except GTC22 who had a very useful post a bit back on dating Leupolds.
I laid down the gauntlet, you dove for under the desk. Always happens here, always will.
In fairness, can't blame you for not wanting to leave Mesa ...... Heaven only knows who would be living in your double wide when you got home.

It isn't that hard to get oneself an expert badge. So I am not sure what you think that proves? There are plenty that have not served that sure as hell can shoot. Again not sure what you think serving proves?

An "Expert Badge" proves you are in the middle of the pack in shooting ability.
