I'm running 64gr RL-17, with some win brass and cci primers. Haven't shot though a chrony so not sure what speed I'm running. I can put three touching with this load. Shot two caribou and a deer with this load and it did really well.Shooting a Browning SS X-bolt 270 wsm.

Boys first year hunting, drew a mtn goat permit on first try. Used my .270 with 110 TTSX for his goat. One shot @ 287 yds and game over. Dober Mark, That is AWESOME!!!!!!

the hunter powder load i gave came from barnes loading data on the internet

aceman2101...thats Scary to a new loader..Like I stated, Lymans Manual minimum is WAY below what your manual says..SO HOW is one to know what to load SAFELY ??!!

Went back to range today to to try the 48 gr h4350 load and to try some RamShot Hunter. All I can say is I believe my load development is over Was kinda hard to measure this group. I measured outside to outside and subtracted .277

Aceman what vels did you get with 58 H4350 and the 110? Rifle?
I shot that load but did not clock it.

getting about 3240fps. I must have a slow 270,because others here are getting 3300+ with less powder
Rifle is a tikka t-3 with 22.5 inch barrel

Aceman thanks.....I ask because back in the bad old days I used to load 60 gr IMR4350 with 110 Sierra's to shoot New England woodchucks....vels were a bit over 3300 from 22" barrels....I wanted to compare notes,and it seems like your vels are pretty normal to me.
The 280 Remington is overbore.

Thanks for clearing me up on that aceman...be hard to break away from my RL15 with htese..but thats what loading your own is about..
