Just came back from RSA and did want to post a little Porn from my trip until I get all the pics and details together. Shot Kudu, Impala, Blue Wildebeest, Jackel, Gemsbock, Zebra, Warthog and another Impala.

Nice pictures. Post the rest soon.

I used a SAKO A7 in 308 Win with Leupold VII 3-9X40 scope. Ammo was federal 165gr TSX. I also took a TIKA T3 Lite in 270 Win with 6x Leupold with 150 gr Horn handloads. The TIKA was not used.

Congrats! Looks like you don't need a big magnum for plains game. Just shot placement and a premium bullet seem to do the trick.

Wow Ed, Looks like you had a great trip. Great Warthog there! The thing about warthog is that they can never be too small or too far. Man, you gotta love shooting 'em

Marius, my 2 favorite plains game I took in RSA, in 2008 was blue wildebeast and WARTHOG! Love hunting warties. Matter of fact, my son and I leave for Zim, for a DG game hunt, in late July. The only extra critters I might consider shooting, besides my buff and cow ele, would be a big wartie, or a bushpig.
