These are normally $299.99, however, while we have them they will be just $179.99. Popular for all-around hunting The easy handling Viper 3-9x40 riflescope is a popular choice for all-around hunting. The Vortex Viper riflescope lets you zoom in on targets with ease, the unique ViewMag adjustment lever of the Viper riflescope allowing you to make rapid power adjustments without ever taking your eye off your target. And that's just the first of many reasons you can count on the Viper riflescope for smooth handling when the pressure is on: *ViewMag adjustment bar lets you keep track of target and magnification at the same time. *Fast focus eyepiece is quick and easy to use. *Pop-up dials let you easily set elevation and windage back to zero. *Audible clicks are easily counted for fast, precise adjustment of elevation and windage. *Plex reticle is an all-purpose reticle for marking targets. Got one yesterday (Viper 3x9x40). Free shipping to boot! Can't beat that deal for that quality of scope. I actually bought it for a friend and now I'm jealous of what he'll have on his rifle now. Just make sure to call for that pricing as the link does not show the sale price.

Are the German made Minox HGs worth the premium price over the Japanese HGs? I've used the Japanese 8.5x52 HGs and was quite impressed.

Doug,
I have always wondered this.
Where are the Vortex Viper scopes actually made?
China or Japan?

The price on the 3-9x is just waayyy too good to pass up. I've been considering one of these for the past couple of months.

Ordered the Pentax Gameseekers Essential Outfit this morning for my wife. Trying to put together a low-cost .223 or .243 for her to plink and shoot vermin and deer with. Prolly gonna drop the scope on a Wally World Savage Edge this weekend.

Ordered a couple pair of the Kruger Timberlines (8x42 & 10x42); reviews just looked too good to pass up for the price!

Just blew my spring "bonus" $ on optics... ~50% of it went to various cameraland items... BF8x25, vortex solo, and a tripod en route!
I hope they include some of that coffee. Very good stuff!

Quit giving in inch by inch then looking back to lament the mile behind ya and wonder how to preserve those few feet left in front of ya. They'll never stop until they're stopped. That's a fact.
