No pics, yet. There will be, after I get it from the shop in a couple weeks (money down; final payment after some pay comes through).

sean...what kind of configuration is this rifle? A Mark X kind of thing, or more Whitworthy...?

Mark X. But, old MkX. Manchester, England stamped, so we'll see if it's a Whitworth under the barrel root when it gets home.

Coincidentally, the rifle in the second picture is my Whitworth, though in a McMillan stock.

GREAT grab! I have some 100gr TTSX's and lots of other 25 cal bullets for you to try, also have the dies. Just bring fresh brass.

Have one of those around the same vintage. Plain vanilla wood stock with a very good trigger. Shoots 120 Hornady HPs into 1/2 to 3/4. Haven't loaded for it in a while so will have to check the powder charge later. But I recall it was on the high end of book with R-22.

Turned out to be 52.5gr RL-22.

That is none other than Foxi! laugh

we had many adventures together!
Including me kicking a crazed jackal off of him....and shortly thereafter sending him to Jackal Heaven via the 7x57 express train... grin

Another Foxi pic, after a dynamic tracking job!

I've kilt big mule deer bucks out to 495 lazered yards with 'em. the deer did not notive the 'poor' BC. Of course I was starting them out at a real mans velocity of 3800fps, not a wimpy measly 3300.... smile

I have a pile of other 257 bullets to try as well. CT's, Vmax's, NBT's.... Most of them already coated with moly. Will order up some Varmint grenades if you want to nuke some rockchucks with it. Could be spectacular. Just bring fresh brass, all else can be handled 'in house'

I could probbly round up a 257WBY reamer, as well. Have a 'few' 25 Roy cases lying around. The only thing better than a TTSX at 3300 is one at 3600+

I bought a Rem 700 .25-06 from CrimsonTide years ago, and I have to say that it is one of my very favorite rifles. Shoots great, kicks like a cupcake, and kills stuff dead.

I love my quarter bore!

Nope, no Roy, as per matching the .30-06 and 9.3x62 set-ups.

Don't need it... wink

Moly, is a given.

Ingwe, you can "cobble" together anything you like from my gun safe except my L579 Sako. It's "cobbled" close enough for me. E
