I started loading the .243 in 1974, and IMR4350 was definitely the choice as an all-around powder for 85-100 grain bullets back then.
These days I've had excellent luck in various .243's with 85-100 grain bullets using Hunter and H4350. I'd tend to pick either of those over IMR4350 if you hunt in widely varying temperatures--and I see you list "NM" as where you live, which I assume means New Mexico, a state of extremes in both terrain and temperature.

When I saw this thread my answer was going to be H4350... I see John and others beat me to it!

If I were going strictly with 100s, I'd day H4831 or MRP. With the lighter bullets thrown in, I'd say one of the 4350s.

just because you need a little support... 4064 is my first choice, and H 414 second if I need more velocity..I've always found it a hair more accurate in mine than the 4350s...while being a 100 fps slower... which never bothered me..

Never tried IMR 4350, but H414 has been proven in my Marlin.. velocity easily tops factory loads with 100gr Hornady SP Interlocks. Accurate at top speed.

My dad has been using IMR4350 and 95gr Ballistic Tips in his M700 BDL 243 for 30+ years, he's killed a ton of deer in that time, I've seen him make some pretty impressive shots with that combo as well.

I use H4350 for my 243 win and the 85gt tsx and 80gr ttsx. Very accurate and good speed.

Ya'll IMR and 4350 folks really need to try some RL-17 if you can get your hands on some...
