I'm going to try to make it again. Last spring got screwed up due to a family medical crises.
I have a place to shoot LR out to 1500+ yards locally, but it's always a lot more fun to do it with other shooters!
Sam: If I make it up there, we can tell stories about Uncle Boone and Uncle Butch. Or maybe even get together with both of 'em.....

I'd love to try to get up that way and join you guys. Sounds like a blast. If I can get away I may have to wander up that way.

Great Falls is 273 miles from here, Billings is 279. 4 1/2 hour drive anyway you cut it. Might check into going to Williston, North Dakota....130 miles east of Glasgow. I'd like to try to make it. I'm 5 1/2 hours from Billings if there's not much snow. I wonder if it would be faster for me to hit Miles City instead? Bob

I met a French guy the other day. I asked him "Do you speak German?" He said "No." I said "You're welcome!"

Miles City, then Terry, then Cirle, then Wolf Point, west another 50 miles to Glasgow.
Shouldn't be much if any snow. Good paved roads through that route...

The shoot will take place on private land, but there is a lot of BLM land within a few miles of where we'll shoot. Plenty of places to put in a camp.

U might wanna check into a Billings flight as well?
Dober I assume Billings would be the best airport to fly in/out? You can also fly right into Glasgow from Billings on a daily flight($100 one way?). Sam: If I make it up there, we can tell stories about Uncle Boone and Uncle Butch. Or maybe even get together with both of 'em.....
JB, had dinner with Butch last night as a matter of fact, you'll have to spill the beans on the old days....grin

Be worth the drive just to meet a bunch of you guys. Let alone a chance to stretch the legs on a couple rifles.

Pat,
Are there certain ranges we can expect for the hunter's course? Sorry if this has been covered, I haven't read the whole thread. I don't normally shoot long range but if things are going to be way out there I may work up a load for some heavies in my deer rifle.

Travis The hunters course will be set up for all types of hunting rifles. The ranges will vary from in close shooting to long range, from all types of shooting posititons as well. Guys aren't going to have to show up with long range rifles to get a lot of shooting in. There will be plenty of shooting for everyone.
