Getting my first 10/22 on Monday. It is a Deluxe SS with a great piece of wood. What scope ring/base combination would you put on it that will:
1) keep the scope mounted low to the barrel 2) not have a long one piece base or rail on the receiver
I will mount either a Leupold VX-2 LR 2-7 x 33 or a Burris FFII BP 3-9 x 40 on it.
Thanks!

I have Talley Lightweight on mine. Give them a look, they're strong and sleek.

Per your request: Leupold VX-2 2-7x33 LR Duplex P/N #61270 (matte) Leupold Standard 1 Piece Base P/N #51723 (matte) Leupold Standard Low Rings .. P/N #49898 (matte)
Note: If you get the Burris you may need medium rings.
However when I did my Deluxe SS 10/22 I used a nice rail that matched the stainless receiver:
B-Square Stainless Silver 10/22 Base P/N #15515
This is my favorite 10/22 base. They are nicely finished and are a very low profile base. I've used it on three 10/22 builds. Get one or two before they are all gone. They are no longer made. I beleive Midway and Natchez still has a few in stock.
