Those that haven't driven it before, watch your speed on I-40 EB after coming into TN. I-40 EB & WB, is heavily worked by both THP & Judicial Drug Taskforces. Speeding & out of state plates will get you looked at. The philosophy on I-40 is drugs EB, cash WB. Watch your speed on I-40 through N'ville also, it goes from 70 to 55 once you get into town, Metro N'ville runs unmarked units using laser radar.

Be very alert to Pat's "let's stop here for a minute" comments.  no problem. I'm planning to bring a 7mm-08 Montana in event of rain, and will probably bring a .308 A-bolt for a loaner. I'm on the fence about bringing the 1920 Savage, or a #1 of one flavor or another. Prolly a couple of interesting pistol, just for S&G.

Hey...what's wrong with a couple of pit stops? Unfortunately, the halfway point is about Alabama and trust me...you don't want to make any of the kind of stops to which I believe you are referring.

Hope to see the #1.
I'm bringing a #3 in 30-40 that seems to kill hogs pretty well. Anyway, it did last year.
Consistent sub 1" groups at 100 with a Hornady 180 RN.

Hey...what's wrong with a couple of pit stops? Unfortunately, the halfway point is about Alabama and trust me...you don't want to make any of the kind of stops to which I believe you are referring. Alabama?? You must be coming up I-65 NB, there's a couple of those places North of Huntsville on I-65 at the TN/AL state line. If on I-65NB take SR/I-840 just S. of Franklin, TN. It will by-pass N'ville and bring you out on I-40 EB, about an hour or less from Monterey.

Bringing my S&W 41 mag which has me at 2inches high,dead on at 50 yds. I'll bring my 7.08 and my new 25.06 for fun,and for loaner,if anyone has a need.
I'll carry my 44 mtn gun just in case I have a run in with another 400 pound pinko pig.

There's gonna be over 7000lbs of pork come end of next weekend that's like 10 eastern tennessee women right? Actually they are a lot like wild hogs..Most won't weigh quite as much as you would guess. It would push most to be 350# and occasionally a 450 pounder will be reported.
