Funny that, I wouldn't eat guacamole because I thought it looked gross, until I learned it was made with avocados, which I love.
As a kid mom used to make my sis and I a half avacado with mayo in the seed hole.

Here we go with the mayo again.....

I know of guy that my crew would put mayo on the tools. As soon as he touched the mayo he would start spewhing... If you said "ma" leading to the word "mayonaise" he was start gagging.

HAHAHA! I do that too. Think it is from my Grandmother...

I had never heard of that until this post. I went home and asked my wife, she says she has done it before. She bought a watermelon yesterday so I decided to try it. I thought "hey, I love salt. I love watermelon. This should be the perfect thing for me..."

It tasted like salty watermelon and in no way added to the already perfect experience of watermelon eating. Your mileage may vary of course, but I consider you a deviant if you prefer your watermelon salty. Lord only knows what other crazy [bleep] you might be into grin
Canteloupe too is great with salt on it.

hmmm, been doing that for long time. I suppose it's a southern thing.

Tomatoes too, but hopefully yall already know that one. Err...I hope.

Gotta have salt on canteloupe, watermelon, maters. Also like salt with my beer. Girl at work loads her canteloupe down with black pepper.

Forgot one more. Raw Oysters., Gritty snot on the half shell. Might have something to do with a weekend in Panama City and much beer and oysters, but they sure don't change a lot coming up. Can't even look at the nasty things any more.

I can and have eaten most of the stuff mentioned save the more exotic foreign dishes.
There is only one thing that I can not abide. Raw cucumbers. Pickles yes just cukes no way.
I know the reason for it too. There used to be growing in this country a sort of wild melon called pie melon. Haven't seen one in years but they used to be fairly common. Green stripped thing about the size of a cantaloupe.
I cooled one off in the creek fishing one day when I was a kid and then ate it late in the afternoon. Smelled and tasted like a cucumber. That night I thought I was going to puke up my bung hole.
Ever since that day the smell or taste of cucumber has made me sick.
