Fact of Fiction? I've never shot any since the original Barnes X.

Fiction, at least in my experience. I've only shot them in 22,24,25,27,and 28 calibers though.

I think the new ones are better somewhat than the originals, but then again how many are you gonna shoot? Also with the available cleaning solvents we have today, I think its a non-issue.

Ive shot off quite a few and they never really fouled up my barrel that much, last time at the range I shot off 16, a week before that it was 22, I haven't cleaned my barrel yet and it is still shooting bugholes.

Fiction, a friend had a rifle that fouled them, but that bore would have fouled baby powder, after 50 rounds of Tubbs, and 200 strokes JB, he's GTG.
He runs the 180 TTSX's out of his 300 WM @3150 fps with little fouling and excellent accuracy.

JGR: The original Barnes X were terrible foulers...for shure...
the TSXs and TTSXs are a tad different alloy and have a lot less bearing surface. IME....and I shoot a LOT of them....they foul considerably less than standard c-n-c bullets.

I've found them to be better than the originals. Shot them in 22,24,25,26, 27,28,30,375,460, and 505 only though. LOL!

I shoot a LOT of them....they foul considerably less than standard c-n-c bullets. Yep with many rounds out of different pipes..No problemo .. ..53gr TSX in the Swift.. 85gr TSX in the 243 and 6mm..130gr TSX in the 264..140gr TTSX in the 280..150gr TTSX BT 30cal.in the 300 WM. My only beef is with the deep seating required on the heavy end of the spectrum with standard throats.

I have solved maybe forty rifles with them. Only one had a fouling problem with them. It was a Parker-Hale with a nice sharp shiny bore. I JBed it four times, and I could not get t to shoot decently after maybe three rounds until I DBCed it. It fouled unmerciful. Could always get two accurate shots after one fouler, and then sometimes I could get a third or on rare occasion a fourth. DBC fixed it.

I haven't shot TSX's in as many calibers and rifles as some, but can recall trying them in several dozen rifles from .224 to .416.
They do tend to foul barrels a LOT less than the original Barnes X's, especially in lighter weights for caliber, since there are fewer driving bands and hence less contact with the bore. In bores that don't copper-foul much, TSX's don't foul much. If the bore tends to foul much, they do. If there is the rare problem, I've found DBC solves it, as MILES58 posted.
Today was was testing a bunch of things with my Heym .300 Winchester Magnum. Like many .300's, it shoots very well with Reloder 19 and a 165-168 and Reloder 19. In this instance it was the 168 TSX.
I cleaned the barrel down to bare steel before the test, and the first 3-shot group was just about an inch. Shot several more groups and they shrank. The last were between .51 and .74, averaging .61. My records indicate that barrel will shoot that way for 60-70 rounds without any noticeable change. And this barrel has not been DBC'd.

I DBC'ed the 7-08, so this may have been a stupid question. I went apeschittt with the darn stuff.......coating 6 rifles before I ran out.

Only tried three different TTSXs in two different rifles, but they have not fouled badly at all. In fact, they have been the easiest to get to shoot well, show less pressure signs and don't foul. Mine have been DBC'd. Oh yea, they seem to kill things too. Becoming a fan.
