First thought on reading the post was, "that's an incredibly witty way of announcing the birth of a child"... Looks like a total winner to me. You should have a camera handy when the kid gets it. I can't imagine it not being worth it. Since you mention it our dog is having puppies this morning. Three so far...lol Get crackin'! Sounds like you need three new rifles! Now that's a smart man!

Have 5 now......I could live with 700 Classic(my color choice) Sporter contour'ish Talleys holding a 3.5-10x40 w/ m1 20oz trigger
Likely in 223 243 260 708 308 Be fine with me to chop all barrels at 22".....

My 11 year old's Savage 7mm-08. Just got her hunter's education certificate. I'm kinda' digging that purple stock. Did she get any blood on it yet?

I'm looking for a Mountain Guide right now for my oldest boy, and have toyed with the thought of a .5" pad. Glad to hear I'm not the only one who thought it was a good idea.
He's going crazy trying to figure colors on the swirly, though...

I'd buy them a 700SPS Youth in .243. Later on it can be dropped in an adult stock.

I'd buy them a 700SPS Youth in .243. Later on it can be dropped in an adult stock. This way he has a awsome rifle that'll work/fit him today and when he's grown. Win/win
