This a a bad day here in CT, the school is K through 4th grade, were talking 5 yrs old to 9 yrs old. Gunman is a 20 yr old. this makes me sick to my stomach with reports coming out that of the 27 dead, 18 are children. WTF is wrong with people. A sad, sad day.

The shooters age has not been confirmed. They are saying he is early 20's.

I was watching CBS and they say 18 children dead, 36 total (others are adults). The children are between the ages of 5-10, and apparently the shooter went in and killed a kindergarten class execution-style. I am speechless.

amateur psycho-babble analysis: The custody theory is out the window. possibly killed his mom and then did this in his dads town... killing kids... guessing maybe he was touched a bit as a kid and no one did anything about it. Mom knew, so he killed her? God, its so sad.

Early reports... a body found inside a local home being searched. Speculation it may be the shooter's mother. Also heard a report that the shooter had some sort of ties to the school.

Truly the nightmare of all nightmares come true.
A news commentator on NBC just stated that it "appears" that the majority of casualties were in one classroom giving the impression that the shooter might possibly have focused on that classroom for some unfathomable reason.
